For prospective students

We welcome students with strong motivation to develop novel machine learning methodologies, make real-world impacts through data analysis, and explore new frontiers of artificial intelligence research, including human computation.

For information about admission to the Master’s or Doctoral programs, please refer to the Entrance Exam Information, particularly the Guidelines for Admission for the Intelligence Science and Technology Course and the Data Science Course.

Prior contact with potential advisors is not required for the Master’s Program. Please apply directly through the admissions office. We may not necessarily respond to individual inquiries.

For doctoral candidates, please contact us in advance with a CV and a list of publications, along with primary authored papers and a letter of recommendation from a person familiar with your research. However, due to the current limited capacity of the lab, we primarily accept candidates through referrals. We appreciate your understanding.

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we are unable to accept “research students” as a general rule. While we appreciate the interest, we regret that we cannot respond to individual inquiries on this matter.
